Lawrence A. Powers, Jr.

Lawrence Aloysius Powers, age 80, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019. He was born in Upper Darby, PA on July 6, 1938 and a long time resident of Farmingville, NY.

He is survived by his wife Joan of 58 years; daughters Donna Marie Powers, Denise Facquet (Philip) and Diane Terzulli (Steve); son Michael Powers (Denise); his 6 grandchildren; Gabrielle, Nicholas, Philip, Michael, Matthew and C.J.; and sister Margaret Remmert.

He retired from Northrup Grumman, Bethpage NY after 40 years and was a Knight of Columbus for 55 years.

 A mass will be celebrated at St Theresa Catholic Church, 11528 US-301, Belleview, FL 34420 on Tuesday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to service. Visitation will also be held in New York on Friday, January 11th  from 9-11 a.m. at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home 735 First St. Greenport. Interment will follow at 12 p.m. Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
