Harold R. Freeman, Jr.

Harold R. Freeman, Jr. of Huntington Station, NY formerly of Greenport, NY passed away on March 25, 2020. He was 87.  He was born in Greenport on May 13, 1932 to Jennie (Richards) and Harold R. Freeman, Sr.

 Mr. Freeman graduated from Greenport High School and served in the Navy from 1956 to 1967. He met his wife, Sumako in Okinawa Japan and they were married in 1958.  After his career in the Navy they settled down in Huntington Station where he pursued a career with Grumman Aerospace as a draftsman and he also attended CW Post obtaining his Masters of Arts in 1982.

 Mr. Freeman enjoyed sharing his many musical and artistic talents with all his family and friends.  He is survived by his wife Sumako of 62 years, sisters Georgia Rudder of Greenport and Margaret Coulter of Delray Beach Fl.; several nieces, nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

 A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 28 at Sterling Cemetery, Greenport, NY, Pastor Garret Johnson, presiding.
